I just sort of threw that together without shopping around, pretty much the best CPU and GPU currently available!

Swapped the bump from 780 to 780ti for more storage and some change, removed i7 not required for gaming.

PSU is overspecced but will allow SLI later, the 860i is a 80+ Platinum unit and very high quality.

I dont want you to spend money on stuff you dont need/use, so no GTX 780Ti or i7 4790k for you, since you probably dont use stuff that the i7 offer and 780Ti is not a good upgrade over the 780 with that much different in price IMO.

For gaming its pretty hard to use 16gb, plus you can just upgrade later

If you fancy saving a little cash, check this lot out. http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/d88st6

Not an SSD I would particularly recommend, the OP clearly has the budget for better components why skimp

The RE3 is an enterprise drive get one of these https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/seagate-internal-hard-drive-st1000dm003

You could get 2x r9 280x instead of a 780 Ti and you will get higher FPS in demanding games. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-video-card-r9280xgaming3g

and the mobo go one up and get the G45 Gaming it has better PCIe layout https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-video-card-r9280xgaming3g

Totaling 1203.52.

Edit: If you are only going to be gaming then you most likely won't need an i7 so if you go with the 4690K then it will cost 1136.32.

Dreadnaught: Intel Core i7 970 3.2GHz, Silverstone TD-02, ASUS Rampage III Extreme, Kingston Fury White 24GB 1866MHz, Crucial BX100 250GB + Seagate 2TB SSHD, AMD Radeon Sapphire R9 390 Nitro, NZXT S340 White, Bitfenix Fury 650W, BenQ XL2730Z.

A pure gaming machine only needs an i5 and 8GB of memory. The real performance determining component is the gpu. Personally I prefer a single gpu system but there are those who like multi-gpu in CF or SLI.

This is a blue & black build. Just to be a little different.
