yeah i know its kind of a shit psu but when i got it i never looked up the brand and just trusted the computer store, i wanna upgrade to this one soon Silverstone Strider Gold 850W ST85F-GS

The Gold Evolution 850W is a really decent PSU, much better than any Cougar PSU imo.

650W is more than enough, but as shown by the review katsu linked, that power supply can't deliver 650W.

850W is way more than you need. 550W is more than enough for most systems. Would you mind giving your system specs, your budget and your preferred store or etailer?

so if i upgrade my graphics card, i should props upgrade my psu aswell? because im guessing it it explodes like it did in that review it could ruin my computer

no, as long as the psu has not been faulty, but i would look at a upgrade soon

a nice good brand 550 watt PSU should do the trick

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
