So guys, I'm looking forward to make a new build in the future since the one I'm using atm has gotten too old.

For some reason, I wanna make a real small form factor build and the EVGA Air Hadron had my attention for quite some while, now what I wonder even tho I think I already know the answer , will a R9 290 fit ?

Cheers!

Which 290? It supports 10.5" graphics cards.

So then no 290 is compatible I guess.

I don't think so. EVGA isn't a really great choice, it is EVGA-only compatible if they didn't release a second revision.

That's what I thought too from Linus' video on it, but I've seen some builds using Asus mobos.

Some motherboards, specifically the ones with the same CPU socket position as Stinger boards can fit but I wouldn't risk.

Had my eyes on the Asus Z97 Maximus VI Impact for the mobo, a I5 4690K or I7 4790k didn't yet decided on that part with a 212 Evo since it was fitting inside the Air Hadron , 2 sticks of kingston fury 8 GB @ 1866 mhz a 1TB Seagate SSHD some 128 GB SSD , probably a Kingston.

I didn't want to go with a mid tier GPU like a 770 or a 280x which would've fit no problem inside the case since the build was already kind of high end. Now I guess I'll have to rethink it.

short answer, it won't fit in your case, the msi 290 might fit but I am not sure. get the 780 or 770 because it runs cooler especially with that tight space, u won't have much choice

just so u know, the prodigy might be big for an itx case but it is very portable high end case, it has very good handle, so u can move them round easily and just in case u travel to another country for months and u decided that u want to bring your pc with u then u can just stick them in a carry on bag and it will fit in the overhead cabin. it also has great watercooling capability (if you are crazy enough), support full size heatsink and full size gpu and radiator, excellent airflow in the case. so upgrading  in the future is not an issue, the only issue  is that it does not support dual gpu, but most peoples don't need it anyway. If u think the prodigy is too big then consider the silverstone, and node 304 cases.

I don't like nor understand the new norm for small form factors that some companies go for, basically they sell cubes which are in most scenarios cases that in fact have the right panel of a normal case as a bottom panel , that's not really anything worth while for me since I see it as a stupid idea. Buuuut it seems lots of people think they're awesome and innovative .
