Plex server help

Go to solution Solved by rustikles,

In the plex server settings, try to use the automatic port mapping. If that doesn't work, you may have to port forward from your router. By doing this, your server can talk to the plex website and there is no need for any kind of dynamic DNS. In fact, it wouldn't even be very functional to do it that way.

After all this, you have access from plex.tv and any mobile devices you've also singed in to with your account info.

I'm trying to run a plex server at my house so that I can watch all my favorite shows while im out, but i'm not sure how to connect to the server when i'm not on the same network. I know i need to use port mapping for the server to be able to reach people outside my intranet, but what do I do if my outgoing ip changes? How can i connect to the server even when my ip keeps changing?

plex webiste: https://plex.tv/

This is my opinion, it doesn't mean I'm right and is liable to change at any time. I may offend of which I apologize in advance.

You just go to plex.tv, press sign in and then launch.
