Bitfenix Nvidia build

So I'm planning on doing a bitfenix nvidia case themed black/green build, and probably painting the raised nvidia logo on the case for more greenery, as well as maybe the shroud of an undetermined video card.

I have an OS and 240gb ssd to use with the build.

 

Any other thoughts?

 

I know the power supply is expensive, but it's bitfenix and individually sleeved, the cheapo corsair modular the sleeving sucks.

I'd go for a different CPU but there literally aren't any OC friendly ones less than $200 from intel.

What's the point? Is it a showcase build? You already seem to have a pretty beastly rig....

In all seriousness, you will need a Z97 board for the build. 

 

For video card, a 270X or a 280 would work well in this build. Or the 760/770

What's the point? Is it a showcase build? You already seem to have a pretty beastly rig....

i think he's going to use one the 760's he has.

Why a z97?  It's hard to find a green/black or plain black board, and the gigabyte website says this particular board supports the 3258.

 

I will be getting a video card, I'm just not sure if I want to use one I already have or get one that I can paint to match the theme.

 

Oh, also getting some bitfenix green LED fans for the cpu cooler and exhaust fans in the top.

There doesn't seem to be a mATX board, but Z87 needs a BIOS update, and it might not work correctly (JayzTwoCents had a problem where the mobo attempted to fry his CPU at 1.501V on a Gigabyte board).

 

It still might work properly, who knows.

Now that you mention it there seems to be a z97m-ds3h, added that instead.
