Best Laptop ~700$?

A friend of mine's laptop broke, and i wanted to get him a new one.

My budget is around 700$(US) willing to go a little higher if i see that its worth it.

The Laptop would be used for school work mostly, but also some gaming, so 15"+ display, 1080p display and descant graphics capabilities would be nice.
