So I'm building a gaming computer and can't seem to decide whether I want to get a 770 or a 7950. I've seen some stuff around how the 7950 can perform around the same as a 770, but it being $100 less...  hard for me to believe. So my question is: Which one is better?

Is there any advantage to getting Radeon over Nvidia?

Here's my current build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mPY8bv

Also, if anyone has one of these could they kindly provide their specs and provide a few games and their performance (with settings :D )

From what I know, the 770 should be slightly faster, but in no way is it worth 100 bucks more than a 7950. There are no real advantages or disadvantages to getting amd or nvidia cards, only the particular card matters. Don't trust who tells you otherwise, they're either fanboys or misinformed. Nvidia used to have significantly better drivers, it's not the case anymore, amd software has come a LOOOONG way since.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Erm, the 7950 competes with the 760 so why isn't that an option either?

The GTX 770 will be noticeably faster. The GTX 770 is basically a GTX 680 with much higher clocks. The GTX 770's direct competitor would be the R9 280X, which is a rebranded HD 7970 Ghz edition with slightly lower clocks.

I would avoid the HD 7950 because it's old and has very low clocks (below 900 Mhz core clocks). The reference HD 7950 actually had only 825 Mhz core clocks. The R9 280 (non-X) is the rebranded HD 7950 Boost edition with even higher clocks. It has core clocks between 950 and 1,000 Mhz. Much higher. I can't provide benchmarks which feature the HD 7950 and GTX 770 in the same graph, but you can find ones that contains both the R9 280 (non-X) and GTX 770. Don't expect the HD 7950 to perform as well as the R9 280 though, as its clock speeds are very low.

Here are some benches:
