Legit answer to the question: 280X crossfire will destroy one 290X.

Stereotypical forum answer to the question: Well it will be faster but it's better to go with one single card cause with crossfire you might have issues with power consumption, heat generation, and semi-national politics.

you should always go as high end with single cards as you can, and if you still need more performance, then go dual cards.

search on youtube, pretty sure linus has a techquicky on that.

Deepends when you are planning to upgrade your GPU next time. If you are buying now and want to keep it as long as possible - corssfire. Ir you are buying now and will be upgrading in couple years latter - 290x.

No. A 280x is on par with a 770.
