4790k temps....

this is my first extreme intel chip ive owned, i usuallu go AMD. I dont think imm used to intel temps, when browsing the web i get 34 C

 

and on load ii get between 40 and 60 C.

 

ARE THESE TEMPS TOO HIGH? my AMD chips never hit those temps

 

(also im running a coolermaster nepton 140x water cooler)

Well first off the 4790k isn't an extreme chip. 

Second, those temps are normal.

Seriously? AMD Chips normally run way hotter. Yes, it's normal. No, it's not an extreme chip.

Well considering 85 is TJMAX I'd say that 80 would be high.

these are very good temps, especially if you have the stock cooler, you probably have a good ventilated case too

Well considering 85 is TJMAX I'd say that 80 would be high.

It's actually 105C, the same as Ivy Bridge. But yeah, it will start throttling once it hits 105. Pretty hot though.
