Hello! I have never watercooled before, and would really like to for my next build. All I know for sure is what water blocks I want. I would like some help from experienced watercoolers with picking the cooling components for my new pc build.

Here's what I have planned for my system so far (I know some parts aren't out yet):

Tower

CPU: Intel Core i7 4790k

Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII Formula

Memory: Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB 2400MHz

Storage: 1x128gb Samsung 850 Pro SSD + 1x512gb Samsung 850 Pro SSD (will eventually add some HDDs for storing large files)

Video Card: 2x Asus Gtx 780 ti Direct CU II

Power Supply: Corsair AX1200i

Case: Phanteks Enthoo Primo

Monitor: Asus PB287Q

Keyboard: Corsair K95 RGB

Mouse: Corsair M65 RGB

Headset: Steelseries H Wireless

Accesories

Corsair Red Braided Cables

Dominator Platinum Airflow LED (Purely because it looks so sexy)

ROG Front Base

Cooling

CPU Block: Swiftech Apogee XL

GPU Blocks: Swiftech Komodo NV LE

I don't think I will change these unless someone could recommend even sexier blocks.

Every thing else I don't know yet (tubing, coolant, fittings, pump, reservoir, etc.)

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated

EDIT: Forgot to mention I would prefer an ODD reservoir if there are any good quality ones out there. If not, no biggie.

@itsjoystick I'd personally choose for a reservoir either the Phobya Balancer in Nickel black/gold or T-Virus from FrozenQ but that's me. You can get either cylinder or cuboid shaped reservoirs, since the cpu block is clear acrylic with LED lighting I'd suggest using 3/8 ID, 5/8OD compression fittings in white or black sparkle (I like bitspower.) the tubing can be whatever colour you desire as well as the fluid (distilled water is most easiest to clean out.)Unfortunately I think the cpu block doesn't fit the lga 1150 socket so you might need to change the block.

Run the computer without the water cooling hardware installed; run any cpu and gpu tests like OCCT aida 64, unigine etc for around 24 hour+ you should actively scan for artifacts which are unusual visual anomalies.

There are two other videos to watch.

thanks for all the info! Im going to check out all the parts now. I really hope the cpu block is compatible though because it looks amazing

hmm, I forgot about such a video, I'll have to refer to it some time.

off topic: at 0:09, did Linus nearly say Linus tech tips? sounds like he went blahblahblah a while ago on Lencix tech tips
