  1. So I think something else might be causing it not to boot, since a couple people said theirs never clipped but still works, and the plug wasn't clipped when i got it to boot outside of the case. So I am going to tae everything apart completely and inspect it, and then build it again. Wish things just went smoothly
  2. I don't know much about psu's but the pins and stuff look straight to me on both the psu and motherboard. However, two of them in the psu plug seem to be ever so slightly further back in the casing than the rest. Could that be anything?
  3. I've been trying to get this to work for 3 hours straight....I don't know what to do D:
  4. No, I just checked, none of them have anything stuck.
  5. I've wiggling it, and i even put index cards between the mobo and the tray while I pushed, but it just doesn't go in. It's not the clipping in the bothers me. It's that the damn thing won't even boot.
  6. I am using the cx430 psu and an msi z97 sli krait motherboard. The problem I'm having is that I can't get the 24 pin connector in enough to clip, which is making the system not boot. I got it in outside of the case just enough to boot, but I can't get it to clip, especially now that it's in the case, and I can't get it to boot anymore. I have applied all of my force and the thing just wont budge. This is very frustrating. Please help.
  7. I had the g430's and I think they are alright for the 70 dollar price tag. However, based off of reviews, the hyperx cloud seems to be superior.
  8. The steelseries H is definitely your best bet for a wireless gaming headset. It may seem expensive for what it is, but that's how it is with wireless. The mic will most likely be all you need for communicating with friends. The corsair vengeance 2100 is also another, cheaper option. Other than that there are the astro a50's. Linus has review for all three of these I think.
  9. i am actually planning on an asus ranpage V extreme at the same time as the new audio stuff. Rog boards are supposed to have top notch onboard audio. Does this mean i will not need a sound card? If thats the case i can put the money i was going to spend on the aoundcard into the headphones as well. So i was thinking going with the hifiman he500 or sennheiser hd700. Ofcourse, cheaper is better, but i am looking for a long term investment
  10. No, the microphone doesn't matter, it would go unused on the steelseries h wireless. I am now leaning toward wired headphones. The reason i wanted wireless is so i can sit on the couch and watch movies or play xbox(occasionally) on my tv. But I think a better idea would be to get a nice wired set of headphones to start with, then in a few month pick up a decent pair of wireless headphones for the couch and travel. Could you recommend any good wired headphones for $400-500 or less? Also, do you know what sort of sound card/ amp I would need to get the most out of them?
  11. The steelseries h is actually available for around 250. The price difference is not that much, and I like that it's virtually impossible to run out of battery with the steelseries h. The rs180 most likely has better sound quality though, so it's a toss-up for me. Also, do you have an experience with good wired headphones you could recommend?
  12. I really would like them to be wireless. My second choice was the steelseries H wireless. They seem to get very positive reviews and with the dual battery system, Power is not an issue. I am not sure if they are exactly audiophile grade though, and I would like a high quality set.
  13. Hello. I am new to the audio side of pc's, and I am planning on buying a few new things. I am going to be picking up the rs220's soon, and I would like to know what sort of sound card/ amp/ dac combo I would need to get the most out of them. Would I even need all three, or would a sound card as well as an amp be redundant? I might sound a little noobish, but again, I am new in the audio scene.
