I want to make a basic PC for office like work, Browsing, Microsoft Office, Youtube.

Pc would be nice under 200 euros.

Already have and SSD:

Kingston SSDNow V300 60GB for 46 euros.

this is the same size as she has now in HDD.

i7-8700K @ 5.0 GHz 1.37v, EVGA GTX 1080 FTW Hybrid, Asus z370-A Prime

I was going to say just buy a NUC or something

If you just want super cheap look for an AM1 socket board and the 5350 quad core, they are super cheap and should be perfectly fine for office work

alternatively an h81 1150 board and a pentium would be even better

Bye LTT. That was an interesting journey on this board. At least here you see how not to do it. I'll go shaking my head about this place.

Already have SSD for storage,

Dont need HDD, DVD slot , Nor OS, I have OS, i am a student,

Cooler seems also redundant if the CPU comes with one.

there is a case available, which is and older HP case, not sure if that would suffice though

The NUCs are pretty nice actually but the pricepoint is much higher regarding bang/buck i think.

i3 nuc for 160 euros

That would size it down to 240. A bit over budget but stil a nice rig for office :) Just thought of an aftermarket cooler because the stock ones are usual loud. Maybe I'm just to silent pc fanatic xD For the case you can check for atx or matx at the hp homepage. Or consider the manual to check for fitting standoffs.

yeah, that's right. Anyway, performance-wise this NUC sucks compared with the Athlon, you would need extra RAM (my proposition already comes with 8GB) and he could not use his SSD, he would have to buy an mSATA SSD too. And 160€ are sth like 215$ right now, so even more expensive.

I would happily pick an i3 over the am1 processors it would eat it up, I was just saying there are some NUCs in the price range

BUT your build is still very good for the money! and I origionally recommended the AM1 system perfect for a home office system

With Cooler Master Mini Case with 300 W PSU

For 240

Gonna check the case we have at home if it can accomodate the ATX and what PSU does it have, it's kind of and old case so not getting my hopes up but another 80 euro cut form the prize would come handy

Under 200 seems a little unrealistic due the fact you need an operating system which is alone 100 € OEM. Or pick linux mint. For the daily shedules she isn't really forced to use windows.

Well here's a little system:

BitFenix Shinobi Core USB 3.0 Midi Tower

DVD

LG Electronics GH24NSB0 DVD-RW SATA

Cpu

WHy the 300W Psu btw?  do you have any calculator for it? is 200 not enough for a low profile pc like this?

Based on a calculator:http://extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine

This systeam needs about 180W

Why because it's not much of a pricediffrence between an 80+ brand psu and an chinese 200 watts that may catch fire over night. Also it's not always at 300 watts its max 300 watts. + better regulated consumption which this cheap one probably don't have.

It's just there is two cases, Cooler master mini with 200 Watt PSU and one with 300 watt PSU, and the difference is 30 Euros, so if all that extra 100 Wattss just gonna sit there it's not really worth that extra 30 euros

But meh, rather have the upgradeability and not have the psu run on full power all the time
