Suggestions for my build?

Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

What kind of videos are you editing? What do you mean by other computation intensive tasks?

I don't see any incompatibilities. The psu is alright but not the best. Why Corsair?

Here is the link to my current parts list:

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/ScottBouloutian/saved/V7yV3C

This is a mostly gaming oriented build, but I also do video editing and occasional other computation intensive tasks (hence the RAM and i7)

This is my first build, and I really just want to make sure that everything is going to work together.

I know that the radiator won't fit in the case, but as shown in Linus'

I was planning to mount it on the top of the case.

Does anyone see any glaring compatibility issues with these components?

Also, is the power supply ok? I read somewhere on Amazon that it has an annoying sound.

Are there any corsair power supplies that would be more appropriate for this build? I was looking at this one.

I know that I still need to pick out case fans, and I'll probably go with the ones shown in the

.

Please, let me know if you have any comments or suggestions on this build.

Mainly I just would like some peace of mind knowing that everything is compatible.

I will really appreciate your help. Thanks!

that is too much RAM

8Gb will do

bump up to a GTX780

i will suggest changing the PSU

you don't need that high wattage

500-550 is enough

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Are you doing video editing?? cause a i7 and 16gb of ram is overkill for gaming..

Get a 290 instead of a 770 4gb. If you are wanting to CF I would go an 850w otherwise a decent 650w will be fine. I would get a nicer case though.

PC: Corsair C70 Arctic, FX 9370, Corsair H80i, Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3, Corsair Vengence 16gb, Palit JetStream GTX 970, OCZ Vertex 4 128gb and Western Digital Blue 1Tb + 500gb, Antec Gamer 520w

Peripherals: Logitech G19 and SteelSeries Sensei RAW

Toshiba L50-A: i7 4700mq, 8gb, 1TB HDD, GT 740M 2gb
