So after making some summer money i've decided to upgrade my Gaming pc. I have around $800 to spend and want some suggestions.

My rig:

Gigabyte ud3h

Evga superclocked nvidia geforce 760

Corsair 600W powersupply

64gb ssd (with operating system)

500 gb segate hard drive

Cooler master hyper 212 evo

So far i was thinking 2x samsung 840 evo 125gb ssd's , Nzxt kraken x61maybe another 760 but then i would need a new psu.

jump to a 290 or gtx780

no point going with another 760

sell your 760 online and get an R9 290 there are deals at around 350$ ATM it's an amazing GPU that perform very close or better in some games than 2x 760s and defenetly a better performer at higher resolution, you could also upgrade the CPU cooler to an ZNXT havik 140 if you want to overclock some more (if you have a good chip) and also a 240GB SSD for your favorite games if you want them to load faster..

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU Cooler: NZXT HAVIK 140 90.3 CFM CPU Cooler  ($60.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Sandisk Ultra Plus 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($109.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon R9 290 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card  ($359.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $530.97
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

The upgrade from the 760 to the R9 290 is worth it:

what about the swifttech220? instead of the havik or maybe 2 ssd's.

make your research and see for yourself if water cooling is really a thing for you,the havik is plenty to overclock your CPU to it's full potential unless you have a mighty good chip that can do above 4.8GHZ (unlikely) and the air cooler would be much quieter...is the hyper 212 holding you from overclocking your CPU further and also do you need more power from your CPU or is it fine as it is? cause honestly i have an i7-4770K under a 212 myself in push/pull and the temps are just fine...

and about SSD's...those are questions that you have to answer for yourself...about the GPU if you want better gaming experience then as mentioned it is strongly suggested that you sell your 760 to the most offering and get an r9 290 instead, that way you get more performance and more VRAM without the need for a new PSU and a stronger card is always a better option over two medium cards...

With US$800 you can

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Storage: Crucial MX100 512GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($212.99 @ Amazon)

Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 780 3GB TWIN FROZR Video Card  ($469.99 @ Amazon)

Other: NEEWER® Adjustable Car Seat Belt Lap Belt Two Point Safety Universal Seatbelt  ($10.00)

Total: $692.98

If you have another $50 or so you could get a 750 GB ssd instead.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

no, get the R9 290 it performs within 5% of the 290X for a lot less $$...also forget the GTX 780 it also perform about the same as the R9 290 and that also cost more $$...

R9 290 vs R9 290X

R9 290 VS GTX 780:

The r9 290 is really the GPU to get ATM.

Get a 290. I have no clue why you would have 16gb of RAM and only a 760.

Spoiler

i5 4670k, GTX 970, 12GB 1600, 120GB SSD, 240GB SDD, 1TB HDD, CM Storm Quickfire TK, G502, VG248QE, ATH M40x, Fractal R4

Spoiler

i5 4278U, Intel Iris Graphics, 8GB 1600, 128GB SSD, 2560x1600 IPS display, Mid-2014 Model

Spoiler

All the parts are here, just need to get customized cords to connect the motherboard to the front panel.
