Will this computer build work?

Go to solution Solved by theroflcopta,

Yes it will but I'd drop the power supply down to something cheaper around the 450-500 watt range and reinvest the money into a better GPU. Like the 750ti or the r9 270. And if it isn't that uch more try and go for the i5 4460 or 4590. Just higher stock speeds for a little bit more. (based off US pricing)

 Case: BitFenix Shinobi Window ATX-case, Black = 72,90 €

 Processor: Intel Core i5 4430 3.0 Ghz LGA1150 -processor, boxed (4 cores) = 174,90 €

Cooling: Artic Cooling Artic F12 12cm- casefan = 5,90€ , CPU Cooler  Noctua NH-L9i low-profile CPU cooler for Intel processors = 49,90€ (EDITED)

 Motherboard: Asrock H87 PRO4 LGA1150 - ATX-motherboard  = 74,90 €

 Memory(Hard drive): Seagate Barracuda 1TB 64 MB 7200 RPM 3.5" SATA III(6Gb/s) hard drive = 59,90 €

Graphics Card; MSI Geforce GTX 750 Gaming OC Edition 1024 MB - graphics card PCI-e-channel = 119,90 €

 Operating System :Microsoft Windows 8.1 - OEM - 64 bit = 100,90 € (EDITED) from Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium = 99,90€

 Memory(RAM): Kingston HyperX Genesis 8GB(2 x 4GB) 1600 Mhz DDR3 CL9 XMP - memory module packet = 79,90 €

 Power Supply:Corsair CX500W V2 CX-series 500W ATX-powersupply(EDITED) from Corsair CX600W V2 CX-series600 W ATX-powersupply = 68,90 €

(= 767 € + 6,90 € delivery fee)

(= 773,9 €)

NEW PRICE = Around 790 € + 6,90 € delivery fee

Am I missing something and will this work?

I know that I don't have Wlan Card, but I have one in my home so I think I would go with it, and I also have optical disc drive at home so I won't be needing these.

Please note, that I wrote these products using Google translate so, for example I don't even know if "memory module packet" is a "tech word" in USA etc.

Also, if you are pointing out that you would get these products at 600 USD(or something like that) remember that I live in Finland where almost everything is more expensive.

Off-topic= I don't know, if I wrote this to the right place so please tell me!(I tried to look at the subforums etc.)

+ If you find a better solution for example for case fans, feel free to comment  ;)

I am really sorry guys, but this site is only in Finnish so these pictures are quite useless.

Off-topic= I was lazy editing these pictures so  :D

EDIT: I would also like to keep the budget around 770 -  780/790 (max. 800 €) (I know that we may live in different countries, but this will give you a some kind of price way)

RE-EDITED: Some products are different in the pictures due to @theroflcopta good answer! THX

Good, and yeah I know it is a huge power supply, but I just wanted to make sure that it works xD

(Hmmm... maybe I should use the pc partpicker to make sure the computer watt consumption.)

Anyways, thanks for your fast and very good reply!

+ actually I might even get a better processor!

Yeah if you go with the 750ti you can probably drop it to even less like 350-400 watts since it is so power efficient. But that will limit your room to upgrade in the future. And if you go with the r9 270 you will get better raw performance but with higher power consumption. Really it depends if electricity costs are high where you live. And i'm also assuming that the price for those 2 are similar as they are here in the US which they may not be. Hope it all works out for you and happy building : D

Well I don't have so much problems yet, because I live with my parents xD (of course I don't want a huge consumption) But yeah in the future when I move out to a student apartment I might need to pay for the electricity for myself.

Then yeah the r9 270 or 270x will be a great addition to that build. Since nvidia doesnt really have anything that's competitive till the 760. And even that loses out to the r9 280 and 280x xD
