firefox RAM management issues

so I use waterfox, which is x64bit OS optimized version of firefox, and as I'm writing this it's using about 280MB of RAM
that might not be a lot, but with 4GB of RAM it's a bit of a tight space. so I was wondering if there are addons for firefox that might decrease my RAM usage.

Tabs, add-ons, and plugins all add memory consumption to any web browser. This is simply the reality of modern web browsers.

 

Your memory consumption of Firefox is fine. If you want a web browser that consumes the lest amount of memory, then use IE11
