Have you done all the usual obvious stuff?...

- make sure the monitor is switched on with the correct input selected

- check display cable, make sure it's plugged in correctly

- if you are using a dedicated graphics card make sure it's connected to back of the card instead of the motherboard

- if you are using a graphics card make you've connected the PCIe power cables correctly.

Do you have another monitor to try?

Does the PC actually POST when you switch it on?

Does your PC actually turn on successfully? No beeps? Lights flashing and what not?

Try a different cable, VGA or HDMI maybe?

You might be missing cable somewhere you need to connect, check whether cpu is installed properly with cable plugged in to mobo.

Is your ram installed correctly?

Is your cpu power cable plugged in?

Yes i have installed ram correctly and also the power cables to. I have a monitor with VGA support and a led tv with HDMI support. I have tried both with onboard and graphics card too. There is no sound of any sort and lights are on and cpu fan is also working. But there is no display.

Sounds like a defective motherboard then, might want to RMA that ASAP.

Do you have the small speaker plugged into the board or one that it built in, there should be a POST beep and if you don't have it then more than likely the board is faulty

You may also need a BIOS update to recognize the chip on the motherboard. I have a ASUS Maximus VII Hero, and the BIOS it shipped with didn't support my processor out of the box. Getting the latest BIOS update before installing the processor might do the trick.

Is the CPU seated correctly?

Sorry if I insult your intelligence but sometimes people do that.

Thank you for your questions. And not at all offended yes i have done it thrice with everything and every cable.

Then the only thing I can think of is what other people have said and that is your board is dead, send it off and get a replacement

On ASUS boards they have a BIOS flashback option. You download the BIOS to a USB and plug the board in with the 24 pin and 8 pin connectors and press a button on the back of the board. Not sure if MSI has an option like that.

I have a gigabyte board. Can i do on it?

I mispoke before, I see you have a Gigabyte board. The way you can do this is explained in your manual under Q-flash - no operating system needs to be installed or loaded up. I think it's pretty much the same as the ASUS boards do that I explained before. Hope this helps. With my board though, you needed to make sure you did not have the CPU installed when you did it, and no RAM was needed on the board either.
