Should I buy this?

http://www.pccasegear.com/sc/iRP Should I buy this + a i7 4770k for $1400(AUD)? it is preowned off of someone I know. I would plan on selling the 770 and buying a 290 instead. Is this a good idea or should I try for cheaper?

generally 550-600 watts is what you need

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

The system has been built already as it's secondhand and I'd be buying it off of someone.

Do you really need an optical drive?
I also advise a 250gb SSD, they get much nicer performance numbers.

You can chop out the optical drive and just install windows off USB if you want to save 25$. Optical media is going out, especially dvd's. Otherwise a 650 watt PSU should be fine if you plan to put a 290 in it... And unless it's a combo, I'd really not spend the 360 on just a temporary card, even if you do plan to sell it. You're not going to get a good enough resell value to justify the price imho.

Guys, this already has been built someone owns this. I would be buying this off of them already built. Thanks for everyone's help so far though.

With the 4770k included (which I couldn't add to the part list because it wasn't on the site) it is around $1700ish AUD, so then what would you recommend?
