Is it possible you could use an r9 290x? It appears to be cheaper, and it's faster as well. (Not to mention 3 free games)

I might, (im a nvidia fan boy lol) i've just heard that the R9 290/290x gets too hot, but it has better performance, do you have any experience with the R9 290x?

Do you know of any micro center near you so you could get a cpu at a discounted price?

It gets hot with the reference cooler and loud as well, any non-reference cooler is just as good as any nvidia cooler for the most part, give or take a few degrees.

Yeah it'd be fine for sure, anything that isn't the reference cooler is perfectly fine!

Yeah, but if it costs $100 more than a 290x I wouldn't say its worth it, especially since a 290x is like 10% faster.
