Finally got around to my first SSD array and so far pretty impressed. Can't tell too much of a difference in just everyday use yet but it is slightly snappier and a much better amount of storage than just a single drive I had before. I have 2 250 gb samsung evos in raid 0 and heres a snap from crystal.

Now I'm looking for a better backup solution for this array since it is a raid 0 and that just makes me worry a bit even with the general reliability of SSDs. I was previously using Acronis and wasn't too wowed and on my server I'm using Iperius because I sure as hell am not paying $9371365134164 for server grade backup software that is just server branded.

How long until someone says "If you loose one drive you loose it all"?

I also have 2 EVOs in RAID0 and get similar speeds. The speed increase is worth the small cost of getting another SSD.

Do you recommend Iperius for daily backup of OS/programs partition for instance ?

Mine wont actually make an image of the system like many other backup solutions. My main concern is just having multiple backups of my files that are stored on the drives. Which include a crap ton of movies, tv shows, house backups, and a whole bunch of other important files. So I use it more like an automated copy and paste into a set of backup drives. But this is done on an incremental basis so I have one full copy and paste and then a copy and paste every other day of what has been added/changed.

Well the way it worked out was I already had a 120 gb and 250 gb in my rig but I was buying parts for my gf and it came down to the SSD I was gonna buy for her rig and I just bought another 250 for me and gave her the existing 120....now lets see how long it takes her to notice....

MUHAHAHA!

People say to back up your drive but tbh I have another drive for my files thats not on RAID. SO PFFFT

So if you other non-RAID drive dies you're still SOL, sounds safe

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

This is NOT the signature you are looking for.
