Me and my brother share the same room. Its a small room so since there are 2 beds, I can barely fit a small desk for my build, it really irritates me since I have such a nice build in such a tight area where speakers barely have enough space! But my bro is moving out very soon but I cant seem to find any desk! I want something that looks simply beautiful, maybe 1 or 2 cabinets but NOTHING on top of the desk, just a flat desk. It can be a regular long desk or a corner desk, I dont want too much design, I love simplicity. :)

Anyone have any ideas on a desk like what I described??? please let me know asap! :)

IKEA has a lot of what you just mentioned.

I think glass desks are damn good looking but its all personal preference.  Don't want to get something that you won't like in the future.

That's exactly what I'm using. Originally I built the desk for my DJ gear so it has a second shelf at the back where my monitors are now raising them up nicely. I don't have a picture since converting it to a desk but it's this:

The shelf at the back is:

* CAPITA Bracket, stainless steel (Pack of 2) [6.75" (17 cm)]

* EKBY AMUND Shelf, black-brown [59" (150cm) x 11" (28cm)]

Works perfectly. Without the shelf my monitors would be too low and I'd have to raise the desk and come up with a keyboard tray.

(unseen is a cable management tray under the table at the back and cable clips along the back edges.)

...ok.

I should be studying.
