New PC Build and won't turn on

Two options:

1.  You're not doing it right.

2.  The MOBO is defective.

I would put the odds at 99.9999% 1 is the problem.  No worries, look it up in the user manual and make for absolute sure you're bridging the correct pins.  It can be confusing sometimes.  Make sure the board is oriented properly.

Hey guys, I'm working on a new Build right now and I have everything put together but it won't turn on using the case power button. I'm pretty sure I have all the pins plugged in right I just don't know what the problem is now. I tried shorting the pins with a screwdriver but that didn't work either. I used the Start button that is on the motherboard and it turns on that way.

Here's the Build Parts

Case: Antec 900

CPU: Intel Core i7 4770k

Graphics Card: MSI GTX 780 Twin Frozer

HDD: Segate Barracuda 2Tb

SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120Gb

Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII Hero

RAM: Corsair Vengance Pro 2x8Gb

If it turns on fine with the Start button on the motherboard then you know all the hardware is okay. It's likely you're still just putting the pins in wrong or backwards, double check your (+) and (-) and consult the manual on where it needs to be plugged in.

+ and - doesn't matter for start or restart.  Buttons don't have polarity.

My mistake, still would check the manual and make sure it's being plugged in correctly though.
