need a new ssd

so hey im back for the past 2 years lets say my hdd was not performing that well(wd green 7500AADS) the light is on alot of times,its slow,games are starting to run like s*** when pagefile takes over...heck i even think its dying i just have enough of it...so i really need an ssd...now my ''problem'' is i have a gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H mobo which only supports sata 2(is this all that relevant even?)..oh and also im kinda broke might only be able to scrap up like 70€... so what options do i have? also do i need to buy a different cable or something for an ssd?

you can use ssds with the performance you need, nearly all operations are random, loading games is random too, you can buy and you would only see the difference while copying to multiple drives

sata 2 which limits the data transfer rate of an ssds does only bottleneck noticeably when you are doing sequential reads and writes, meaning copying data back and forth.

in a normal daily usage scenario you only do a very limited number of writes and the reads are not sequential but random (f.e. when loading a map in a game or starting an application), meaning that sata 2 will still be enough to get good performance out of an ssds.

 

for the best bang for the buck suiting your budget Id recommend the Crucial MX100 (128GB)

oh ok now i get it i was also looking at the crucial m500 which is a little cheaper(10€) would the difference be that notable?
