So I just recieved my new NZXT LED 2m strip from the mail, I tried connecting it and it worked, I noticed it got warm pretty fast; I turned it off as I was still waiting for more parts from amazon. So today morning, I connect the leds and I noticed allitle smoke inside my PC, at first I thought it might be just my eyes, but when I started to see sparks, I immidately turned off the PC, the sparks were coming from the PCB in the LED controller, any reason to this problem?? By the way, I did not harm the pcb in any way, it was fresh out of the package.

I think if the system would have been off when you plugged the LED's back in, I honestly do not think you would have burnt out the controller.

Awe ok. yeah that's very strange then. I have 4 sets of the NZXT 2 meter LEDS and have had then for a good 3 years,i have not had an issue with any of them, for the exception of my blue LED versions on and off button sticking on me every once and awhile. I would contact NZXT and see if you can RMA it or get a replacement PCB.
