Hello guys, I have this antenna : http://www.tp-link.us/products/details/?categoryid=215&model=TL-WN8200ND

and i want to share inteenet connection with my friend to its macbook pro. I dont have ethernet i am stealing wi-fi from my neighbours :P

So how can i shared internet so that my friend can have too?

Turn your computer into a gateway and use an ethernet cable between you and your friend (will probably need a cheap ethernet switch too).

also someone told me that i should make a bridge between them?

I believe you will need to either use a crossover-style cable between your Ethernet port and your friend's, or use a network switch with normal Ethernet cables. 

 

A bridge could mean a bunch of different things, it's unfortunately a term used for alot of things.

so i will have the antenna connected to my computer with wi-fi and then where will i put the ethernet and the switch?

Can you explain in steps how ?

This is from the Microsoft article I posted.

 

1-3 is you connecting to wifi. (picture shows a modem etc, but, you connecting to wifi replaces all those items)

 

4 is your computer

 

5 is the hub/switch

 

The other computers is your friend's. 

 

Connect your computer to the switch using an ethernet cable. and then another cable from the switch to your friend's computer. And then follow the setup instructions on either of the links I posted.

ok i understand but now my friend told me that the macbook pro 2013 that he has does not have ethernet connection

now what?
