Hello. I am wondering if it is possible to connect a wireless Xbox 360 controller via a play and charge kit to a PC? I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro, and my system specs are on my profile.

nope. Tried this myself, the play and charge only carries electricity, no data. you need to buy a wireless dongle. I have like 6 charge and play cords so this was disappointing to me to.

As everyone has already said u cant obviously im not going to say it because u already know but its $7 for a dongle which is really cheap i have one just like this with no hiccups what so ever or (this is alot more expensive if u dont already have it) get an xbox one controller and buy a charger cable because u dont need a dongle with the xboxone controller just that charger cable or any micro usb cable.
