Should I buy this Gpu?

luke_2bossly

Obviously we can't know anything about the seller, just go over there with cash and ask to see the card working/test it before you buy it, if he wants to deal with just the card in the box and isn't OK with a demo then I wouldn't buy it.

Don't have it shipped, if you can physically go get it and have the vendor show you the card in operation before you pay any money.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Text him and ask him if you can go take a look at it before you exchange money.

It doesn't hurt to check it out. Also, people need to realise that warranties do not transfer between owners in the US. Even items sold as "new" via eBay or 3rd party Amazon are ineligible for warranty coverage as neither are approved retailers for any company.

You can register any product you want, no matter where you buy it from. That does not mean they will cover it under warranty. Even if XFX will extend the warranty, they are the exception. There is no law in the US that grants the transfer of a warranty between owners like their is in the EU. Also, the card in question is not an XFX card.

It's only sketchy if he can't prove to you the card works. The person might be cool enough to put it in his machine and show you it works. If he does that have him run a couple of benches (Heaven 4.0, Valley 1.0, 3DMark11) and see if it has any issues; like crashes or artifacts.
