Ultimate streaming PC

Hello everyone! 

 

My name is Xfactor and I am a YouTuber with 190k subs that has ventured into streaming with a secondary PC.  My primary PC features an 780ti with an overclocked 4770k allowing me to get 120+ frames @1080p which is wonderful.  The issue at hand is that I am using an Avermedia capture card on a secondary PC to stream 1080p @ 30fps.  There is lots of screen tearing of course and the setup could be much better.

 

What would it take to step up my build to 1080p @ 60fps.  I all ready know about the crazy $1500.00 capture card I will need but I'm curious as to if I need two XEON cpu's to hit 60fps or will one of the potential new INTEL chips coming down the road do it?

 

What would a current build look like?

You have a 4770k, use OBS + QuickSync. Even then you don't need an external card to stream. Absolutely zero reason to get a new system to stream.

Take your current build and duplicate it.

You can drop the 780 Ti to a 780 or 290x, maybe a 770. CPU doesn't matter as much, these days, but you could likely go with an 8350 or 4670(k) and be absolutely fine. As for the capture card, you could just go with a current, or last, generation NVIDIA card and use their Shadowplay software, which doesn't suck.

I currently stream now at 1080p @ 30 fps from a secondary streaming PC but want to see what it takes to do 1080p at 60fps! There is so much bad information out there figure I would get some legit help!

I currently have 10mb upload on a dedicated modem and utilize the AverMedia Live Game HD PCIe Interface

This is the streaming PC of one of the streams I watch (he streams at 60FPS). He has the $1500 capture card but I've been reading that the Avermedia Extremecap U3 can record and stream 1080p at 60fps as well.

You could get 16GB RAM and maybe a second 780Ti, I don't think you need a serperate PC just to stream 60fps Battlefield 4 for example..

Hey, X! (TheFishOfGary, avid community member here.) What are the current specs of your streaming PC? I can't say I'm especially experienced with capture cards, but if we could know what processor you are currently pushing 1080p 30FPS with, then maybe we could more accurately suggest a new processor.
