So i have just bought the Sony Ps3 Wireless Stereo Headset(old model not the pulse) and i keep getting interference problems. Now i am a complete amateur on how to tune the frequency on my dlink wireless router. I have heard that the interference should stop if i increase the distance between the headset and dlink router. Now since its a "wireless" router does that mean i can disconnect the cables at the back of it and it will still work? Because i want to move it further but the cables won't let me. It's really annoying and i need help because I'm constantly getting logged off of PSN mid game.

If I understand your question correctly ( which there is a pretty good chance I don't), the signal from your wireless headset is knocking out the wifi connection between your wireless router and your ps3. if that is the case, you could just simply connect your  ps3 to your router via ethernet, therefore bypassing wifi altogether.

If you prefer wifi for your ps3, then you could go into your routers firmware and change the channel settings, although the effectiveness of this approach is questionable.

should have got the pulse I was worried the old version would have interference issues. new tech doesn't have that issue, I can use my router as a pillow with my wireless headphones and not have a problem

oh well im using it on PC for the most part anyway. sounds just as good as on PS3 which is weird because i would expect this to be a downgrade from most of PC only headsets in this price range but its actually doing great. Although there is like no bass lol(which i dont give one shit about anyway)
