why is it any o.c. modification no mater how small windows goes blue screen, or goes into some kind of weird boot loop(reboots with out rebooting to uefi. if i select level up it seems more stable for a bit then the computer gets very slow and blue screens on restart(especially the minute i start prime95 it all goes to hell). at first the blue screen pointed to kapersky so i uninstalled it in safe mode using there utility but when i restarted it it just blue screened on a different file right when welcome to windows text appears after the black logo screen. computer ran fine overclocked in safe mode but not full mode. i have to hit the reset bios button on the back of the case and keep stock settings for it to run correctly. Ive re installed(full hd reformat) windows 7 twice from full version to oem version(didn't want to use oem on my old maximus ii formula needed it to add an ssd trying to max out the performance for use as a backup/secondary computer) at first it was the crappy stock cooler but i temporarily put a 120mm closed loop water cooler till i get the money aside for my permanent water cooling setup.

i also have linux installed but havent tried o.c. on that yet still cant get the video card or sound card running right yet

One thing I can't see in those screens is voltage.

If you have your CPU voltage set to auto ajust with an OC and the intel turbo boost still enabled it might be trying to ramp the clocks and the voltage up way too high, and that would certainly cause some issues.

Please ensure you've manually set your voltage (1.2-ish should be the default for that CPU I think) and the intel boost to be safe.

havent checked that. i selected the cpu level up function which i thought would have had preset settings for all that and changed all that. i also tried to load gamers o.c profile and it went haywire as well only default settings seemed to work ill have tor try again later and keep an eye on the voltage setting
