Is this a good stereo receiver?

Hikaru12

Stereo receivers tend to be cheaper than similar stereo amps because of mass production. Thus I'm looking for a cheap good stereo receiver to drive a pair of Pioneer Bookshelves. I'd like one preferably with a sub out.

I'm looking at this Yamaha: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Mobile/App/Product/Item/Specs.aspx?i=022RS201&tp=47041 but the specs say 0.2 or 20% THD which is awful yet the reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Any recommendations?

I need at least 100w. I'd rather not clip my speakers.

100w is a wholeeeee lot. 100w is loud enough for pretty much the whole neighborhood to hear you

Exactly!

I hope someone else chimes in.

Hikaru keeps wanting help with a speaker setup every few months but no one around here knows what to tell him.

Why not ask around on /r/audiophile?

Yeah sorry for all the speaker audio threads. I'll take your advice Shear. I've had a lot of changes happen so it's been hard deciding on what setup I wanted and the budget.

It's fine, I actually wish we had more speaker talk. It's just not something that's within the budget of most people on LTT, so the only specific products we know about are bookshelf setups and garage sales. :)
