Ok so here is my issue which started about three weeks ago. I first got my pc back in March which worked fine until now. It was winter time back then and my pc was running Crysis 3, COD: Ghosts, Minecraft, AC4 and every other game perfectly fine with no issues at all. Then I realized when it started to get warmer my pc would get hotter and hotter. Back in the winter on my case the max the tempature ever went was 23.0C but now in the summer the max tempature it said so far was 35.3C. The only game I could run on my pc was Minecraft. Then when I tried to run COD: Ghosts 10 minutes into playing my pc reboots ( no BSOD or any error messages ) except the windows shutdown to prevent information loss and if I wanted to run in safe mode or normaly. Then when cleaning my pc to try and fix the problem I accidently pressed a button on the back called clear cmos and I had to reinstall windows, overclock and download drivers all over. Then I decided to take out the ram and put it back in it but only 12gb or ram would show up and not 16gb. So I put the ram sticks in one by one and I reliazed one of the ram slotsarrow-10x10.png didn't recognize my ram so kept the ram stick out of that slot and ran the pc and it showed 12gb of ram.

My pc specs are:
Intel I7 4820K 3.7ghz (Overclocked to 4.2)
16gb of Xpg Adata Ram
1000 Watt Raidmark PSU With 80 Plus Gold
Msi GTX 770 2gb
Asrock X79 Extreme 4 Motherboard
2Tb Western Digital Hard Drivearrow-10x10.png
4 Case Fans
Stock CPU Fan

Also when not playing games my GPU is at 46C and when playing COD: Ghosts my processor highest tempature was 61C and my GPU highest tempature was at 81C.

In the winter I had no problems at all so I don't know what the problem is now.

All help is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

When I play cod ghosts for 10 mins my pc restart but when I play watch dogs for 12 hours plus it doesn't reboot my pc. So basically when it reboots my fans ,lights and everything cut off for a second and then come back on, is that a psu issue because I heard that might be my problem. My psu is a raidmark 1000 watt 80 plus golf. The rebooting never happened in  the winter so whats the issue?

Looks like some kind of overheating issue to me. Can you post the complete specs of your rig?

Also "80+ golf", I gotta remember that.

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

Now I just test watch dogs and could play for 12 hours straight and no reboot but when I plat COD: Ghosts 10 mins in it reboots. I was told it might be a psilu problem, so when it reboots all the fans lights and everything turn off. Is it a dead psi or what because it never happened in the winter when I got it. Do I get a new psu?

All help is greatly appreciated and thank you in advanc

Yeah, sounds like a psu problem.  But at the same time it could be your temperautres.

You should NEVER overclock your processor on a stock cooler.  I recommend removing the overclock and seeing if that solves your issue or getting a decent CPU cooler.  Just my advice but every experience person should say that overclocking your chip on a stock cooler is completely unacceptable.  Its not your fault you didnt know, but just remove the OC and see if your problem stops.

wait why you need to reinstall OS when your clear the CMOS???

have you try cleaning the contacts on your memory modules?

did you use compress air or something to blow away the dust inside your computer?

have you tried updating the drivers and BIOS for your mobo?

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

do you have a pencil eraser?

you can use it to rub the memory contact fingers

clear CMOS is just clearing the BIOS settings

if you clear it by accident

just need to go back into BIOS to reset the boot settings, RAM settings, etc.
