I've got some spare lying around now of

I5 750

Amd 6770 1gb

4gb ram 1600mhz

1tb HDD

Corsair cx430

Some gigabyte Matx board

Was thinking of buying a fractal design core 1000 and having a light weight matx build how well will these specs do in gaming do you think?

For modern titles I'd might struggle a little bit.

The processor architecture seems a tad bit old (5 years), ati 6770 yeah....I would use it temporarily and wait for a R9 270X or GTX 750 ti at best. 1TB not bad. CX 430 not bad either.

I would consider trying to build a pc around these components however you might not get a good enough gaming sensation.

As I said these are just spare parts I have lying around not my main build so not really going to spend money on it

It'll probably be surprisngly good. Despite the CPU being old, it's not as if CPUs have made quantum leaps since the i5 750 was released. It's still a decent chip by many standards. The GPU is a bit weak, the 6770 is a two generation old mid-range card, which will give you okay performance, I guess, it's definitely worth building and having some fun with.
