I am using a core i5 3570k with a cooler master hyper 212 evo for my heatsink and I'm getting around 36c idle and around 43c when browsing the internet on chrome and around 65c when playing Borderlands 2. I am wondering if these temps are acceptable or if it sounds like I'm doing something wrong and should be getting better temps. Also I have a GTX 660 so I'm not just using the CPU for games.

Those temps seem pretty acceptable. Are you over clocking? Something to improve your temps would be to change your TIM, and get something like Arctic Silver 5 or Icy Diamond. I am using a hyper 212 +, and changed mine to arctic silver 5, and they decreased my temps by a good 5-7 degrees.

Well I guess I am overclocking but IDK if it is always overclocked. I have a TPU switch on my motherboard and I think it only overclocks it when needed.

Here are some screen shots on why this is what I think.

Cool temps. Yeah, I'm aware of the pun. Love the voltage. Does it stay that low all the time?

Yeah, this makes sense, as the intel CPUs have a max turbo clock, where they will "over clock" whenever the extra horsepower is needed.

Yeah, but the max turbo clock for 3570K's is 3.8. Something like that. It's the TPU switch.
