So far the only parts I have set in stone that she doesn't want changed are:

Case:Fractle Design Define R4 Arctic White Windowed
CPU: Intel Core i5 4430
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth Z87 TUF (Replacing my motherboard)

I was looking at putting a 128GB Corsair Nutron GTX in it and maybe a NZXT PSU with white Sleeved cables but I'm not entierly to sure. The purpose of this build is to replace her quickly ageing HP Desktop PC that has a Phenom II 511 x2 3GB of DDR3 1066mhz and a Hitachi 700GB HDD SATA III. I am seriously looking for help with parts for this build as I want to have this last her as long as I can.

Edit: This is in the USA and total budget is 750$

Well, you are spending money on a Z87 board when the chip you are getting can't even overclock. It'll be better to save some money and stepping it down to a H87 board.

On a side note, I'll be putting a system together.

A 100$ case, an i5 when a Celron would do and a 200$ motherboard

A Celron would be worse then what she has now she likes the look of the Define R4 Arctic White and the motherboard is gonna be from my current build.

Aah ok. So I'm presuming you don't want the cost of a new motherboard to be added to the list? Is there anything else you are planning on using from a previous system?

I'd go with an Adata SP920 SSD instead. You'll save yourself about $30 and honestly won't notice a difference in performance. It's an excellent drive.

Realistically a $60 V300 would also work.

I'd just use the integrated graphics on the i5. More than sufficient.

Maybe a 1tb Blue drive if she stores a lot of media? Likely you won't use the 128gb drive but I don't know how many pictures etc she may take.

8gb of whatever RAM is cheapest.

What does she use the pc for?  If she is anything like my mother all I would add is a quad core maybe to make the pc more snappy with certain more modern applications for the future, an SSD and/or a hard drive and maybe a video card if need be.

She uses it for data base entry with Excel and other daily task were her ccurrent system is falling behind rapidly I have seen her have around 30+ Excel projects open just typing away and then to only have it Crash on her and she has to redo all the work.

I think a quad core upgrade for that pc she already has and maybe more memory might be a really good upgrade before going new with a pc.  Still now seeing it was a prebuilt by HP I want to puke.  They can offer the same specs as a pc I built or others built but they always seem to run like **** compared to what I or others build.  I applaud you for getting her away from prebuilt garbage but still for the right price you might be able to get a quad core and some ram really cheap to make her pc run more than well enough for what she wants done.  Also when I hear of performance being bad on a rig right away I think of what my mom and dad and others do and that is install stuff without reading.  Is it possible the performance of your mom's machine is poor because she installs everything and anything?  Seriously adware and more can really slow down a pc.  I would look at what is on her pc closely to see if this is an issue.

and for cheaper you can go with an APU. Keep in mind, the SSD is gonna be the most noticeable factor. You can also go with a single 4GB stick if you plan on making it upgradeable. I would also recommend mITX for obvious reasons.

Why the i5-4430 specifically?

I went through twice this year and cleaned the Adware and other stupid pointless resource hogging crap off already off, I had to use it 2 days ago to render out some Video Footage since my PC was down (OS drive Died) and that took 15hours it was only 30mins of 1080p footage. I did upgrade it to 8GB of ram but her OS install is only 32bit so I took it all out and put her old ram back in (Samsung). I just think its time to get her to a custom built system. I also kinda want to try to get her to do some light weight gaming.

Are the case and i5-4430 part of the budget?

Why the i5-4430 specifically?

Her Ultrabook has a 4th gen i7 CPU and she wants to keep as close as she can to raw computing power as that so I saw the i5-4430 and can't pass it up for $180ish its a quad-core and will be much faster then the dual core that she has now in her desktop.

Since you need alot of programs running concurrently, get a 4770/4790 and 16 GB of RAM. Another option would be the Xeon version of those chips.

From the sounds of it the iGPU will provide sufficient display power.

One can actually get an i5-4590 for the price you mention for the 4430. The Sabertooth Z87 supports that cpu with a BIOS upgrade.

If you are willing to forgo the white sleeved cables, you can get an even larger ssd.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($184.98 @ SuperBiiz)

Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth Z87 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  (Purchased For $0.00)

Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($74.99 @ Micro Center)

Storage: Crucial MX100 512GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($218.46 @ NCIX US)

Case: Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window (White) ATX Mid Tower Case  ($119.99 @ Best Buy)

Power Supply: Corsair CX 430W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($49.98 @ OutletPC)

Other: Corsair CP-8920050 White Professional Individually Sleeved Cable Kit ($79.56 @ OutletPC)

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
