VGA: GTX 780 Ti Kingpin

MB: Asus Z97-A

RAM: 16G Corsair Vengeance

PSU: EVGA 1000 G2

Storage: Samsung 840 Evo 500G

Case: Corsair Obsidian 450D

1. First plz see if my build is ok.

2.Thinking of changing the MB to Asus Maximus Hero, but I don't think it can bring a significant difference because I'm planning to do mild overclocking. So if you guys know anything about things Maximus Hero can do better, plz tell me.

3. 1000w psu is for future upgrade to 780 Ti Sli when more demanding games come out.

4. Can this system run Watchdogs in 1080p Ultra + FXAA (I'm good with FXAA, no need for higher AA) at 60fps? (Planning to run it with V-sync 60hz, so maintaining 60+ fps is needed)

Kingpin edition is pretty expensive, I'd recommend the Dual ACX or SC Dual ACX instead

OP, you really shouldn't spend $2500 on a 1080p gaming build.

modern games are hard to run with 'minimum' 60 fps in 1080p even with powerful graphic cards. With 1440p, htting a minimun fps of 60 would be impossible unless I go 3-way or 4-way

plus, nothing happens to my replies when I press the quote button hmm... Im new to these kinds of forums so plz help me out :)

Modern games are not hard to run at a minimum of 60fps @ 1080p with a powerful graphics card.

You also don't need 3 way SLI to reach 60fps @ 1440p.

There's not a whole lot that I can't run with a 780 @ 1080p and not have 60+ fps. Exceptions would be games like Metro or Crysis with engines that test the very limits of what our current GPU's can do. Moreover, if the game is not optimized or SLI, it's entirely possible that it will actually hinder its performance, too.

is that benchmark minimun fps? If it is average fps, it looks like it needs 3-way or even 4-way to maintain minimun 60 fps

It is average, I would find the minimum but because of the way the benchmarking was done they did not provide the necessary graphs for each game to show the minimum and maximum FPS, but that does not mean minimum was less that 60 FPS for example in Crysis the minium could have been 62 and the maximum 82 and it still averaging out at 72 FPS. This is purely speculation and unlikely to be true so it should really be ignored.

I am hitting 'quote' not multiquote. Nothing happens to my reply... :(

What browser are you using? Try a different browser or restart the one you are currently using. If those don't work then I can't help you.

However, if the game is one of the few games that are highly demanding like Watchdogs for my case, should I go with Sli or CF?

Well, I partly agree. With 780+ GPUs most of the games would go over 60 fps minimum.

Then... Should I buy a G-sync monitors in the near future instead of going sli or cf for highly demanding games?
