On the top left of the screen for my game, The Ball, it keeps showing the following:

PHYSX - CPU (letter X is in green and the word cpu is in green)

I have never seen this shown before when playing this game on any pc.  Anyone have an idea on how I can get this off my screen?  What program/utility would be causing this?

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

It's an option in the Nvidia control panel, something you enabled by accident as it's off by default. Select "Configure Surround, Physx" on the left hand side. When you are on the screen for those options, select "3D Settings" from the top row, in between "Desktop" and "Help". Then uncheck the only option listed for "Show Physx Visual Indicator".

Also, make sure in the actual Physx options that it is set to Auto, and never to CPU. Only very old games support CPU Physx, so you are never getting the Physx effects in games.

Thanks so much.  I thought the choice to shut off the indicator would have been located just right in "Configure Surround, PhysX".  I had looked up help earlier and it did not say it was up top in a pull down menu.  Nvidia could make this simpler/better.

Some people actually enjoy a GPU with extra features and software that actually works.
