Good Streaming Cpu?

So I just bought a 8320. I'm gonna pair it with my new 770 and hopefully be able to stream. Here's my question: did I go wrong thinking that the 8 cores of the 8320 would help me stream better than an Intel solution at the same price? Also I should be able to stream fine with this set up right? (I'm assuming my 6Mbps upload speed is enough)

At 720p yes. @helping is also right, find some settings or programs and let the GPU do more of the work. 

 

Also, yes, 8 cores doesn't help you stream any better. There's a reason why YouTubers and streamers use Core i7.

Shadowplay will work really well, if you have the bandwidth it will do a great job.

Actually, that doesn't always work. I tried streaming using the H.264 encoding on my GPU while playing Far Cry 3, and I dropped A LOT of frames. Once I switched to the CPU, it worked fine.

If you were to go for an intel, get a 3rd/4th gen i7. Multithreading helps. =)

Shadowplay, but otherwise the 8320 is pretty good for streaming and Logan is willing to risk his reputation to say they are so I guess there's that.

 

I don't think you'll be unhappy, and yes encoding loves multi-core.

 

I think 6Mbps is enough for 720p streaming at middling bitrate.

 

I have 0.2(ish) mbps upload so I've never tried it though

Most streamers use whatever but the 8350 is actually slightly better at streaming.

No even at the same clockspeed the 8350 is slightly better due to OBS or Xsplit using the cores.

Either way, OP doesn't have it. He's better off using the streamer in GeForce Experience.
