Hello

I've ordered a i7 4790k CPU together with a Asus Gryphon z97
I can see that the motherboard only support the i7 4790k if the Bios version is 1008 or newer..
What happens if the motherboard is being shipped with an older version like the 801? Are there any way I can update the bios without getting a whole secondary CPU?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, but I thought it was only Z87 boards that needed the bios date.

it will support the 4790K out of the box.
