Budget build planning (Suggestions please)

Hey everyone,

This is my first post and it's about a build I am planning. This build is going to be AMD based and I'll be using it for general web usage, light gaming, and also as a workstation for audio recording (I'm an amateur musician who is recording some music individually).

Edit: The processor I have picked out is the AMD FX-6300 6-core @ 3.5G, I was thinking an Asus mobo, Corsair RAM, Fractal case, Samsung 840 pro SSD, a WD green 500GB drive I already have, a Corsair HX 650 psu, corsair h55 all in one cooler, an Asus all in one cd/dvd drive, and maybe a PCI sound card.

I don't need a monitor or other peripherals, and my budget is less than 1000USD, shopping on Newegg for now.

I would want this machine to run quietly, probably going to get 8 on it, although 7 pro is an idea, and I don't care for lights and whatever, just quiet and stable. any ideas on a mobo to get? anything else I have missed?

Appreciate the feedback.

So, signatures are a thing. How does one do them? Is this right?

Why such a big PSU? You'd be fine with a 500watt

I wasn't really sure what wattage to go with, it seemed adequate. but if you think a smaller psu would work then that'd save me a few bucks.

I can't even tell what's in your signature. That blue is way too hard to read, especially at 1440p

500watt would be enough for a 4770K and a GTX 780 with overclocking. I'm sure you'll be fine.

Thanks for the input guys, I hadn't ever heard of PCpartpicker before, so thanks for that. And both those builds look great. I kinda like the intel one a little more just cuz I was going for the AMD mainly to save money, but I don't have that much experience building so I really appreciate all the feedback.

So, signatures are a thing. How does one do them? Is this right?

Are you limited to newegg or are you open to other US shops?
