Posted May 18, 2013 What would you think of a higher end AMD console running SteamOS (Linux+Steam)? Just think of it, it could work. 1. AMD makes the parts While Sony and Microsoft are buying them from AMD, AMD can simply make it's own parts, meaning it's probably cheaper for them. 2. AMD makes higher end parts AMD is selling low end parts to sony and microsoft, if the consoles are coming in at $400, what about an AMD console at $600? 3. AMD is focused on the gamers Don't let anyone tell you wrong, AMD is very much focused on gamers, they are constantly improving drivers, constantly improving FX, and constantly improving GPUs. 4. AMD is partnered with Valve While the console may cost $200 more, what if you were saving $20 per game? let's do the math, most people get at least 10 games, so $20x10 = $200, so money saved. So what do you think? what should the specs be at this price point?
Posted May 18, 2013 ?What are you asking? You're asking what if AMD provides their processors/gpu for some other company to make a Steam Box? I don't understand why AMD would build an in-house Steam Box. All they do is chipsets/cpu/gpu. La`~
 Posted May 20, 2013 Ps4 and Xbox Inf are already ''amd'' consoled i don't see why you'd want an amd console. If you want an amd ''console'' build it yourself with all amd parts ( except Psu) Interested in Business and Technology
