I'll start by saying I love this keyboard. The keys feel great and the keyboard just looks nice. However, I've been having backlight issues recently. I know that people have had lights that have gone out, but mine is working. But randomly, it will get a little dimmer out of nowhere and then I click the backlight keys once and it goes back to full brightness. Sometimes it also goes back to full brightness without me even clicking the buttons. This happens about ever 10-15 minutes, but really randomly. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I have been using this keyboard for 2 months at 50% brightness because it is too bright at 100% and I am currently experiencing no problems with this keyboard. I would recommend you to contact Logitech support to see if you keyboard is defective. Make sure you are plugged this keyboard into a usb port, not a usb hub to get the power that it needs for the backlight.

i have no idea but i plan to get this keyboard, One concern is it very quiet?

I own a G710+ and it is pretty quiet if you try to touch type of them. I usually bottom the keys out but it won't create a whole lot of noise because of the O-rings to help dampen the sound.

Glad that Logitech was successful with this product.  Not to my taste as far as the build and look but if it delivers on the typing experience then that is awesome.  I put O-rings on my Corsair K70 and wow that keyboard is quiet now, the .4mm worked really well.  Ordering some O-rings for both my Ducky Shine II TKL Browns and CM Quickfire TK Browns, thinking the .2mm O-rings will be a better fit.  My Ducky Shine II in Blues, no need for those O-rings, the sound it makes is the best ever.  :D

There's probably something wrong with the backlight control in the keyboard. I would RMA it or exchange it if your keyboard is still under the store's return policy.

It's been a bit, but I noticed something weird. My keyboard might not be broken. So i play League of Legends and whenever I die the backlight gets a bit darker. However, when I revive the lights return to 100%. I don't know how this may have started to happen out of nowhere, but I checked the logitech software and saw a League of Legends profile that I never made. It had nothing different than the original keyboard, so I just deleted it thinking it would stop the backlight changing. After deleting the profile, nothing seems to have changed and the backlight still changes whenever I die. Anybody have the same experience or any info?

I will second (Or more like 11th) the quality of the g710+.

I've owned one for about a month so far, and it's simply amazing. It's the best keyboard I've ever owned (My first Mechanical as well). The backlight on mine works perfectly, no dimness or flickering, all brightness settings are consistent and the same as when it was new.

As others have said, RMA (or store return) for a new one. Defective products can happen with any product, so just RMA and you'll be happy.

Hieu, I think it's possible that the dimming you are experiencing is part of the LoL profile that you noticed. If you've installed the Logitech software, it can update with official game profiles (I'm not sure what they do, aside from pre-programmed keys - but it's not impossible for custom lighting effects too). How much does the backlight dim when you die? Does it dim in ANY OTHER circumstances? If you are worried that it's broken, then contact Logitech Support and inquire about the dimming to see if it's a LoL feature, or just a coincidence.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

All I had to do was go into the logitech gaming software and turn off "Allow games to control illumination".

Glad you solved it :) Did you know which game was controlling it?
