Headset replacement

Hey guys,

 

I have been watching LinusTechTips for some while now and I have learned that Linus and you guys know a lot about headsets, headphones etc.

 

When I ordered all the parts for my pc build about 2 months ago I also bought a CM strom ceres 400. However, yesterday the plastic broke when I put it on. Now I am looking for a replacement. When I was looking around the internet to find a headset I didn't really know what to look for. 

 

I hope that you guys can give me some recommendations of a good quality headset or a pair of headphones with a clip-on mic. My budget is up to 50 Euros, preferably around 40 Euros.

Superlux HD681 or HD668B + Zalman clip on mic or a antlion modmic from www.modmic.com

I listen to very different kinds of music. Top 40, nightcore and rock.

I got my superlux 668b and i love them, get a clip on mic and that should work fine.

The superlux headphones aren't available in the Netherlands. I should have said that i'm from the Netherlands . Are there other headphones that are similar in price, audio and build quality?

Also how is the quality of the zalman zm-mic 1?

www.thomann.de has support for your country, check them out. The Zalman ZM-MIC1 has as good if not better quality than any mic you find on a gaming peripeheral companies' headsets.

Forget about the normal HD681 and get HD681 EVO. The EVO and HD668b are pretty much equal, but I believe the 668b is slightly more bassy.

Also another quick question, won't one of those Zalman clip-on mics pick up a lot of noise because it is hanging on the cord bouncing around?

It's supposed to clip-on to the cord firmly. I have used it on my HD681 EVOs and they sounded just fine. You can always adjust the volume/sensitivity and enable noise reduction if needed.
