Bad company 2 multiplayer?

Hey guys, I just picked BF-BC2 on a steam flash sale and launched it up, only to discover that there are literally NO multiplayer servers. I have seen others say that there are still people playing so I was a bit kinda weirded out.

 

I am in Aus, so maybe its just aussie servers that no longer exist but I suspect it's just something to do with me...

 

Is this because of the multiplayer plugin being discontinued?

For the games that are still played they got a new host. One of them is bf bc2
