Must have Android apps? Widgets?

So I got my Nexus 5 a few days ago, and I'm looking for some decent apps for it.

I have a few that I install on all my phones, but there are some I've been wanting to try out. Have a $25 Play gift card so I thought I'd try some "premium" apps.

Honestly the only reason I asked for the gift card was to get Swiftkey...which then became free...

 

One I'm looking for is a widget app.

HDWidgets is the one I was thinking of getting. Any others worth noting?

 

Any other cool apps?

Not really interested in rooting the device yet. Might play around with that on this device once Android Silver comes out and I pick up one of those.

It's literally the best thing you can get.

Have you used Buzz Launcher at all? Nova was the other one was looking at getting but I'm unsure as to which I'd rather spend time exploring.

It's a port of doom 3 for android, MUST HAVE imo (you need to already have the game files to get it to run though, otherwise you'll have to be content with the demo) :) .

 

You might be interested in splashtop, it's an app for remote desktop with low enough latency that allows to play games, even if not competitive or very fast ones.

 

Twitch.tv of course.

Are there any really good icon packs? I've got Glasklart.

I don't really use widgets that much.

 

As for apps: Nova Launcher, Whatsapp, BBM, Astro/ES File Manager.

 

I also keep a few handy tools like Automatic Call Recorder, Merriam Webster Dictionary, RealCalc and Unified Remote.

 

 

Hi, you can also use whatsapp for windows computer or laptop with help of Bluestacks.

Bluestacks is free software which you can download & enjoy all andriod app on large sreen.
