minemouse

Dear Tech Geniuses

I need quiet HDD for storage and older games as first drive I've got ADATA XPG9sth 128gb i have there Windows Watch_Dogs, BF4 and place reserved for GTA V and the most nesecery programs like chrome office etc.

as second drive i have 4 years old 1.5TB Samsung with 5400rpm from previous pc, its not special quiet and it worked a lot time.

I am looking for something new, best from Seagate i think cuse I used WD and it broke after few months, it have to be quiet its my priority, if it will be fast it would be awesome. It should be 1-2TB better 2.

And I have question it possible to minimalizie work of HDD if its not nesecery ex when i am playing game which is on ssd.

Thanks in advance for help

And sorry for possible english mistakes i am from Poland

If you really need extreme silence you can go with laptop HDDs. (Smaller spinning parts, less noise and vibration.) Desktop WD Greens will be very quiet but a  Barracuda will be slightly louder but quite a bit faster though

My Seagate Momentus 5400RPM drive is pretty quiet after a few years of use. I would try one of those.
