4770k or 4670k

Go with an i5.  But do not buy anything more expensive than a Hyper 212 EVO for a cooler.  Haswell is such a crap shoot when it comes to overclocking, and sometimes temperatures are not your enemy.  Don't spend $100 on a cooler until you know that temperatures are the only thing holding you back from achieving better results.

i7 4770K, because you need the rendering balls

I recon you should go for a 4690K and a Z97 mobo along with a H100i, the newer en parts will be only a tiny bit more expensive.

Well right now you mainly game and do a tiny bit of video editing... For that reason i would go for the 4670K. But for whatever reason you start doing a lot more video editing, then i would go for the 4770K...

Have you considered the haswell devil's canyon ? 4690K or 4790K ? they have a better TIM and for that reason will achieve better overclocking and temperatures.

Depending abit in what you mean at tiny littlebit editing / rendering.

The i7, will definitely stretch his legs there over the i5, especialy 1080p rendering.

About the H100i, is a nice cooler, but the stock fans are terrible load, i think you can get cheaper aircooling solutions, for less money.

Like the Noctua NH-D14.
