So I've been looking at graphic cards and monitors and what not and I'm stumpped about it because I want to do multi gpu and Multi monitor but don't know which one would be better. Yes I know Nvidia is stronger in some areas and AMD would be better for the money. Just some input would be nice.

AMD generally has greater support for 3+ monitors, although with 2 just get what you can afford, look at the best NVIDIA card in your price range then look at the best AMD then look at benchmark VS to make your mind up

A high-end AMD GPU setup is what you will want for a multi-monitor setup. The 512-bit bus and 4 GB VRAM makes them pull ahead against the GTX 780 and 780 Ti at very high resolutions. Assuming you'd get three (3) 1080p monitors, that equates to 6.22 million pixels, or approximately 70% of 4K (3840x2160).

How much frames you demand and what settings you run at determines what you'll buy. I have friends who happily play on triple 1080p monitors with just a single R9 290, but only on "high" settings and less taxing AA (i.e. 2x SMAA). They get very playable framerates on most titles, just not past 60 FPS on very demanding ones like Far Cry 3. Surprisingly, framerates above 60 FPS are achievable on many newer, but less taxing titles. However, you will want a second R9 290 (or 290X) if you demand nothing less than 60 FPS on ultra settings with high AA and AF. If you have money to burn, the R9 295X2 is currently the ultimate single card solution.

Also, AMD Eyefinity is much more flexible than Nvidia Surround when it comes to the types of display configurations you can use. For instance, on AMD Eyefinity, you can actually have a 2560x1440 center monitor and two 1920x1080 monitors on your left and right and still run it on Eyefinity (seen as a single display). The center monitor will crop when gaming to match the vertical resolution of the 1080p monitors on the side. You still get 1:1 pixel mapping for an ultra crisp image. If you're not gaming, you can still use the entirety of your center 2560x1440 display which is important for productivity. You can experiment with various configurations with monitors of different resolutions and screen orientations. (i.e. center monitor is 2560x1600 in landscape, two (2) 1600x900 monitors on the side in portrait). With Nvidia Surround, your monitors must be the same orientation and resolution.

Thank you very much that was ore of what I was looking for, I was thinking of getting 2 R9 290x Saphirre Toxic Edition(I love the look of multi GPU configurations)

I don't think there's a Toxic edition of the R9 290 or 290X. IIRC, the fastest R9 290X is the MSI Lightning. But the price premium is rather hefty for the MSI Lightning.

My best bet would be the Sapphire R9 290/290X Tri-X. They're extremely cool and are one of the cheaper variants. However, there is news of an incoming fully-enabled Hawaii chip which should make it even faster than the R9 290X. We just don't know the price and availability, but it may lower the pricing of the R9 290 and 290X when it's out.

R9 290x Toxic is $529.99 USD via newegg but if the new Hawaii chip are being released this year then ill just wait and see what they look like
