Problems with iPhone connecting over USB

Hello

 

I've got a bit of a problem since I've gotten my iPhone 4S. I have an Gigabyte GA-H81M-S2PV motherboard and I can't get my iPhone to connect or charge with my motherboard.

 

All my drivers are up-to-date, aswell as the iPhone. I've tried different cables, USB2 and USB3 slots, nothing works.

 

So does anyone have any tips what to try next?

But the problem still exists that I cant connect it to iTunes aswell, so no sync, no backup, no update..

Can it be a software problem?

on my laptop it works fine with my Ipod touch 4G, maybe your mobo is too old?

are you jailbroken? You should be able to update ota if you arent jbed

no jailbreak, ios 7.1.1 stock 

it connects/disconnects in a few second interval, so I cant do anything.

my mobo has a haswell chip on it, i dont think that it is too old for iPhones...

Try on another computer and if the same thing happens take it to an apple store. They are generally pretty chill about replacing stuff.

this kind of thing happens when im using a passthru or hub, or even sometimes with my usb 3 ports. i would also suggest trying the usb ports in the back of the computer

only happening on this specific machine, not using any hubs. tried all the ports and with everything unplugged aswell - still the same.
