Single or Raid SSD setup?

Go to solution Solved by Createinator,

Whoops, Sorry I meant RAID0, hope that makes more sense. Greater r/w's vs. reliability of one SSD

Not worth the trouble, photo editing and occasional video editing will not be enough workload to buy into an SSD RAID 0 setup. RAID 0 is not very reliable and unless you require speed at all costs while not considering data integrity, do not choose this option.

Greetings,

I'am in the process of ordering my components for my new build, but keep going back and forth between a single 840 EVO (250GB) or a RAID1 of two 840 EVO (120GB). I would consider myself a power user and I do a BUNCH of photo editing/transferring, some video work, and some gaming. Would I be better off with the faster r/w of RAID or happy enough with a single SSD? TIA.
